The Waveshare RM502Q-AE 5G HAT for Raspberry Pi, Quad Antennas LTE-A, Multi Band, 5G/4G/3G (EU) is a sophisticated module designed to enhance networking capabilities by supporting 5G, 4G, and 3G connectivity. It integrates a wide range of network protocols and offers multi-driver and software support, ensuring compatibility with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and Android. The module is equipped with a USB 3.1 port, which is also compatible with USB 2.0, facilitating high-speed 5G communication. Additionally, it features a standard M.2 B KEY slot that accommodates various 5G modules, including the RM502Q-AE series.
This HAT includes onboard UART, PWR, and RST control pins, a built-in voltage level translator, and a USB-C connector for a standalone power supply, ensuring stable and flexible power management. It is equipped with a power supply on/off switch, a reset button, and an LED indicator for easy monitoring of the operating status. The dual SIM card slots support single standby and are switchable via AT command, complemented by a high-efficiency power supply circuit capable of delivering up to 3A output current.
Designed for ease of use, the RM502Q-AE 5G HAT supports multi-system integration, allowing seamless connection to high-speed 5G networks when plugged into a USB port. It is compatible with Raspberry Pi series and Jetson Nano, featuring a stackable design for additional HATs. The module supports cloud communication and multi-constellation high-precision GNSS, including GPS, Beidou, Glonass, and Galileo.
Additional features include a high-speed cooling fan for effective heat dissipation, a standard Raspberry Pi 40PIN GPIO header, and compatibility with most SIMCom and QUECTEL 4G/5G modules in M.2 form factor.
