The SparkFun OpenLog w/ Headers is an open-source data logger that operates via a simple serial connection and supports microSD cards up to 64GB. It can store extensive amounts of serial data, serving as a black box for scientific or debugging purposes. This version includes pre-soldered headers for added convenience. The device uses an ATmega328 running at 16MHz and draws 2-3mA in idle mode, increasing to 10-20mA during full recording, depending on the microSD card. Data is stored on microSD cards ranging from 512MB to 32GB, supporting both FAT16 and FAT32 formats.
