The Sherline Collet-to-Thread Chuck Adapter is engineered to enhance the versatility of specialized lathes commonly employed by jewelers and watchmakers. These lathes, while highly precise, often lack adaptability. This adapter facilitates the attachment of Sherline 3-jaw or 4-jaw chucks to such lathes, thereby expanding their functional capabilities.
The adapter is compatible with lathes that utilize 8.0 mm or 10.0 mm “D” collets and W12 collets, allowing for the secure mounting of Sherline chucks with a 3/4-16 thread. Additionally, it supports the mounting of 1/4″ or 3/8″ drill chucks via 3/8-24 arbors, further broadening the range of operations that can be performed on these specialized machines.
