The AndyMark EVO Slim 10.86:1 Ratio, ~2in Shaft Length is a high-performance, lightweight gearbox designed for competition robots. It is part of the EVO Slim series, which is known for its robust drive train capabilities. This gearbox is crafted with precision, featuring all-steel gears and aluminum plates, ensuring durability and efficiency in demanding environments. The gearbox is delivered in kit form, allowing for customization and assembly according to specific needs, and it is compatible with up to three motors, although motors are not included.

The EVO Slim gearbox incorporates a 15 Tooth 32DP pinion gear, which is integral to its operation. This pinion gear is designed without a key, and its installation requires specific procedures to ensure optimal performance. For those using a NEO motor, a 3-ton arbor press is necessary due to the interference fit required. Alternatively, when using a CIM motor, the pinion may either slip or press fit, depending on manufacturing tolerances. In both scenarios, the application of red Loctite 271 is recommended to secure the pinion effectively.

For enhanced functionality, the EVO Slim gearbox supports the integration of either the E4T Optical Encoder Kit or the SRX Mag Encoder. This requires a 3D printed mount plate, and additional mounting hardware is necessary when using the SRX Mag Encoder. Future iterations of the gearbox will include pre-drilled holes to accommodate the Encoder Mount Pad, streamlining the installation process for users.
