The AndyMark 6in. Pneumatic Wheel Kit is a high-traction wheel solution designed for competitive applications. It features a robust plastic hub that is compatible with any 150x50mm tire and inner tube, and requires two 1.125-inch ball bearings per wheel. The kit is delivered in parts, including a separate tire, inner tube, and hub halves, necessitating assembly. The hub is engineered to accommodate mounting hardware for either sprocket-driven or hub-driven configurations, making it versatile for various propulsion needs.
This wheel is particularly suited for driving robots or wheelchairs, with a design optimized for ground contact and propulsion via a gearbox at speeds up to 500 rpm, translating to approximately 13 feet per second. In certain applications, the wheel can be used as a shooter, capable of spinning at high speeds up to 5,000 rpm when properly balanced and securely mounted. However, users should be aware that the valve stem’s off-center position may cause wobbling at higher speeds.
Note: Exercise caution during assembly to avoid pinching the inner tube between the hub halves, as this may lead to punctures and air leaks.
